Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin (February 12, 1809 – April 19, 1882) relief and portrait bust by artist Zenos Frudakis. English naturalist and geologist, Darwin is best known for his contribtion to the theory of evolution. His theory of evolution and scientific research were published in 1859 in his book On the Origin of Species. Darwin's research provided scientific evidence that all life species descended over time from common ancestors.
