Old Abe, portrait sculpture

Old Abe is a sculpture of Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 - April 15, 1865) 16th President of the United States sculpted at an older age, by artist Zenos Frudakis. Lincoln served as President from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865, providing leadership during the Civil War. During this time he issued the Emancipation Proclamation and abolished slavery. Lincoln preserved the Union, strengthened the federal government and modernized the economy.
